Thai Express Franchise is a Brand Built to Compete
Bold, iconic marketing and brand image attract attention in crowded malls and shopping centers
When you’re looking around a crowded food court for somewhere to eat, chances are you’re drawn to the cleanest, hippest looking restaurants — restaurants like Thai Express. We designed our branding to stand out with clean menus, bold color choices and an inviting warmth that customers love.
Each Thai Express franchise is custom-designed for its environment, incorporating our vibrant branding with a healthy dose of traditional, Asian decor. Driven in part by the ancient traditions of Feng Shui, each location is unique, inviting and most of all, fun. That’s the goal Thai Express marketing director Ryan Buenaventura sets out with on every project.
“We try to portray a certain look and feel that conveys the food itself,” Ryan says. “There’s fun, there’s a brightness, color, the imagery we use. It’s all tied back to the different flavor profiles of Thai food.”
Thai Express is the world’s largest Thai food franchise. Founded in 2004, our Asian QSR conquered Canadian food courts and strip centers, growing to over 285 locations in the last decade. We tap into pent-up demand for an authentic, fast and affordable Thai experience, and Thai Express has exploded into one of the most recognizable restaurant brands in Canada. Bolstered by the support and leadership of franchise giants MTY Group and Kahala Brands, Thai Express is entering the United States market, where the demand for Thai food has been rising for years, which is just one factor that convinced multi-unit owner Eddy Hassan the U.S. market is ready for Thai Express.
The customer’s experience with the Thai Express brand begins before they’ve stepped up to the counter. In-line visitors are greeted by the sights and smells of a Thai restaurant that encourages them to dine in, visit a bit and be comfortable. The food court model also is positioned for maximum visibility and attractiveness that highlights the clean, modern lines of our service bars.
Overhead, the Thai Express menu features just eight regular selections and a handful of seasonal or limited-time offerings. But this simplicity belies an incredibly rich potential of more than 300 combinations of flavors and ingredients, encouraging each customer to make their dish an expression of their individuality.
All the while, cutting-edge marketing materials make suggestions, beckon questions and encourage customers to try out exciting new combinations of flavors and ingredients. Whether it’s trying a traditional coconut water to drink or adding a side of fried rice to Pad Thai, the food takes center stage.
Thai Express is a brand that is built to compete in the crowded QSR market, and because we’re not in the pizza-burger-chicken arena, our customers turn to us when they want something new, something exciting and something delicious.
